CTC LG-105 Laser stocks

The oddly numbered LG-105 (introduced after the LG-205, -305 and -405) is a boot grip style laser stock. It features a larger activation button than that found on the classic LG-205 (See above.) Like the LG-205 the LG-105 features a hard polymer shell but with noticeably sharper checkering on both stock halves. If the checkering is toned down with a few light passes with some high grit sandpaper it can be an exceptional deep concealment set of stocks. Unique among CTC laser stocks the LG-105 also features an unconventional “flared at the bottom” bird’s head style stock shape.  This retro bird head styling produces a front strap concavity that I find slightly less comfortable than CTC’s other J-frame laser stocks. Reviews among students indicated an equal number of like-vs.-dislike reactions. Despite this mix reaction nearly all our students agree that the bird head’s contour offers a noticeable improvement in point shooting target performance. The LG-105’s left side stock panel maintains the usual CTC tradition of being poorly relived for optimum speedloader use. Fortunately some light Dremel work can correct this limited speedloader access. Despite its limitations and if I did not have a good supply of the LG-205 stocks on hand the LG-105 would be my first choice for deep concealment carried J-frames.
