CTC LG-305 Laser stocks

CTC LG-305 Laser stocks

The LG-305 is an overmold style laser stock with rubber paneling covering both the backstrap and the butt of the frame.  The shape of the LG-305 overmold tends to fit both an average sized man’s and woman’s hand equally well. This tends to make the LG-305 the most comfortable shooting stock of the various laser stocks. The LG-305 also features a small but easy to activate master on-off switch located on the butt of the stocks. This butt mounted master switch can be used to override the front strap’s “dead man’s” style activation button.  This is a very useful feature for both long term storage and for range training when the shooter would like to practice iron sight only drills. My only criticism of the LG-305 is that for a J-frame stock its size is greater than that of many K-frame stocks and this in turn mitigates almost all of its value as a conceal carry stock. When carried concealed its size combined with its soft rubber paneling tends to cling to cover garments exasperating its already excessive printing problem. Fortunately it is possible to turn a vice into a virtue.  The LG-305’s larger than average design would make an ideal stock on a house gun if kept in a (secured) drawer where cover garment clinging issues would be a non-issue. Once in-hand the stocks’ size and rubber panels would optimize its weapon retention characteristic.  If relegated exclusively for use on the owner’s self-defense house gun the LG-304 would make a great choice for both dedicated and non-dedicated shooting house members. Like most CTC laser stocks the LG-305 is insufficiently scalloped on the left grip paned for optimum speedloader access.
