Though discontinued in early 2006 the LG-205 remains my first choice for both deep concealment and for back-up J-frame work. The LG-205 has the smallest profile of any CTC laser stocks and it features a practical “boot grip” style stock for excellent J-frame recoil control. The LG-205 features a hard polymer checkered shell that limits the chance that the stocks will “print” through concealment clothes and is the only CTC laser stock with a properly relieved cut-out for speedloaders. The LG-205’s only serious drawback is that it utilizes the smallest on-off switch of the CTC laser stock line. As a result if the LG-205’s stocks are not gripped firmly then under recoil the laser button will sometimes slip in between the creases of the ring fingers and turn off. Realistically thought this is commonly a target-range-only issue. In stress tests and in force-on-force exercises shooters consistently grip the stocks firmly enough to reliability maintain activation of the switch. While the LG-205 is a discontinued model it thankfully remains available second hand via the internet and is generally available at less than half the cost of other currently produced models.
