Some shooters who cock the snub for both short range and extended range shots argue that a long, heaver trigger pull makes accurate shots difficult, and that the single action shot can be easy.
For nearly every shooter though a double action shot can be as accurate with the proper grip and stance. Convincing a shooter usually requires that he be brought to the range and started on short distance targets and then extending the range. All thing being equal the double action trigger still offers quicker lock time, a surprise trigger break and no need to change the grip on the stocks between follow up shots.
